These terms are short on purpose. Use EHCP Assist for what it is: legal information about the EHCP process, not legal advice about your case. Check anything important against the legislation, or with IPSEA or a solicitor, before you rely on it.
Information, not advice
Nothing on EHCP Assist is legal advice. It is legal information: a plain explanation of deadlines and rules that apply to the EHCP process in general, based on the Children and Families Act 2014, the SEND Regulations 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice 2015. Using the site does not create a solicitor-client relationship between you and EHCP Assist, because we are not solicitors.
Accuracy
We check every deadline and figure on this site against the current legislation and guidance, and we cite the regulation behind each one so you can check it yourself in thedeadline checker. The law changes and councils apply it inconsistently, so verify anything that matters for your own case rather than relying on this site alone.
England only
EHCP Assist covers the law that applies in England. If you are in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, the rules are different and this site does not apply to your case.
Liability
If something on this site is wrong and it costs you money or causes you loss, our liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us. The deadline checker is free, so our liability for using it is nil beyond correcting the mistake. If you have paid for founding access to the case tool, our liability is limited to that £69.
